while sending money in AP, it doesn't ask to confirm the transfer but it will be transferred right after the PIN is entered,

unlike in LR, where we will be asked to confirm before proceeding, I think in AP also such facility should be there.

Its because before we input the pin its already been assume that you have check every thing. So when you input the pin then its means every has been check and ready to go. But I think its better if they add that features. Beside I think one more button to click is nothing compare to if you make mistake you can't cancel it back until you file a dispute.

@deal: check is not available for now dude, so that verification C is mean nothing for now, since it need cheque withdrawa to make it complete.

so i think VCC is the best way but for Visa and Master card i think it is not available too for now

I also have heard about this VCC thing to verify your alertpay account, as of now, my AP account is still unverified since I have no credit cards right now that I can use to verify my AP account. But many are offering this VCC to me to verify my AP account.

Its depends on VCC. VCC that is not under your name is not allowed. But since you are in AP I guess AP does not mind. Me I got verified using sms only but that a year ago. Anyway. If VCC is under your name then that's okay. In my country one of our bank offers VCC. But sad to say the prerequisite is to have a CC. lols.

Yes. I have also verified my account using this phone verification before and also by adding my debit card to AP. But, does AP still offer phone verification up to now?

The fact of the matter is that we are committed to doing things right and resolving things once and for all.

At AlertPay, we believe in coming up with solid solutions, not in patching holes. This is why we are taking our efforts to the next level, to ensure that when VISA and MasterCard processing is available, our processor partner integrates seamlessly with our platform, and with our members’ needs.

As we are dealing with third parties, we cannot provide an exact time frame for when VISA and MasterCard processing services will be fully operational. With that said, we do promise that we are working tirelessly to provide our members with the most swift and seamless solution possible. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this service outage is causing. In the meantime, we urge you to explore the other payment options we offer.

I think alertpay is amongst the best online payment processor.moreso the advantage alertpay have over other processors is that verification of account can be done using a mobile phone.

Calling alone without sending documents does not make you verified right away. The best way of calling is when you pass your documents and you only call to request much faster transaction. Unless right now they chance their ruling and just one call without any papers will get you verified. So does it mean if you call and just make up your name you can have verified account?

I think one should provide required documents then only should get verified, like this with a single phone call or SMS verification is not worth because here we deal with our real money, I hope the verification process in AP will become more strict for security purpose.

I don't know how to get verified here but all i know is we can get verified with Adding Credit Cards or Bank Account.. Phone number verification is not enough anymore i send a mail before if i can get verified if i will send a Documents such as ID and Birth certificate.. But they said it's not possible but they said i can get verify with withdrawing to cheque.. but i don't think if it's work.. many members doesn't receive it at all.

well, there is some news update on 29th November, two days ago, from AP, regarding the launching of real time security monitoring platform !

AlertPay launches enhanced real time monitoring platform

AlertPay launches enhanced real time monitoring platform

MONTREAL, Nov. 29, 2011 - AlertPay has launched a real time security monitoring platform named "FraudMatrix". The new platform is more than just a monitoring system, the technology learns and adapts to patterns which enables it to instantly identify suspicious activity.

President and CEO of AlertPay, Firoz Patel has indicated that AlertPay persistently monitors websites and user activity through its propriety monitoring software along with leveraging the industry leaders in persistent monitoring services.

"We have vast experience throughout the e-commerce universe, our expertise, built-in monitoring and screening tools; make us a leader in e-commerce and security. A few years ago, cookies and IP's were enough to combat fraud. Now it takes an arsenal of tools that are ever evolving, which is why, beyond our continuous improvements in compliance, risk and fraud prevention measures, we are pleased to announce these enhancements to our platform."

Mr. Patel said that with nearly 7.7 million members conducting payment transactions through their AlertPay accounts worldwide, AlertPay's monitoring system screens transactions in real-time detecting patterns and anomalies without impacting the user experience. When a transaction is flagged, AlertPay's security team quickly reviews the transaction for suspicious activity.

For instance, AlertPay recently played a very active role with local authorities to track down distributors of child pornography. AlertPay regularly reports any and all suspicious cases to the relevant authorities such as Cybertip, Montreal Police, and the RCMP. The suspicious cases are never revealed to the public as they are often key facts in an ongoing investigation.

The company's commitment extends to its support of organizations that are dedicated to the protection of children. Mr Patel concludes: "AlertPay is a company made up of 130 hard-working and dedicated employees; we have families and children of our own. We take special care in child protection and take to heart any role we can play in protecting children."

AP is another payment process like PP, but what i like most about it is that the Verification is easy, just by sending your mobile Phone, not like PP that even cause $7.50 to verify it this days. And some won't be a lifetime verify. Well, i have account here and had verified it too, but don't have any funds for now, since am not using it mostly to online merchants.
yes they are alike in most aspects but PP is very much secured than AP

I really don't understand why they keep on updating that theirs still no update on that status of mastercard and visa? I mean I'm a member of AP and every time they give an update that is not a good news. I feel that AP is going down. Its better that they don't update use. Since at least we forget about it. I think they will just going to wait if theirs a good news then they announce it. Than announce that they don't achieve anything yet.

I have noticed that one of my friends using Unverified account, but when I asked he informed to me that it was actually verified before, but later he upgraded again wasn't verify it yet, so I guess we require to verify it once again after upgraded it !

Well yes when we upgrade or downgrade the alertpay account, we need to verify it again.I had upgraded account few months back and it was verified but now i have downgraded to avoid high fees but its unverified now but i don't really have any issue using unverified account.

@macky110

I think you will not have issues in future with that unverified account, since you already once did it before, yeah it is good to have downgraded it to avoid higher fees on transactions, but usually those that haven't ever get their accounts verified will have risk with the stability of the account.
