Improving your knowledge not your skills, forex forum is not a place to do training, you cannot become a good trader just by read other trader's opinion, debate or even other knowledge that shared in forex forum. In the short answer you cannot be like Soros for example if you don't tran your analysis in trading.

@myregister: LOL You are right, it does not improving our skills, how can by read only we can become a good trader, there must be something that we need to do in order to increase our skills and the only way of course by trading in real /demo account and with that we can assume that we increase our capacity.

If you only read the material at forum or comment from trader you won't improve, share with the others too but practicing and criticize those things would give you some way to improve your trading skills. I don't think you will be able to improve if you don't even touch terminal to trade.

Forex forums are a great way to learn and continually learn about forex and different trading strategies. They also serve as a great motivational tool for so many traders. The downside of it is sometimes , we new traders get to learn so many new techniques that one becomes confused as to which is right.

It is the best way to learn, remember the best way to learn but in here you cannot practice your skill and you won't see any significant difference if you don't practice. However, Forum is the best place to get new material, strategy or even new paradigm about forex.

Yes in a sense that your knowledge not skills, i make difference between knowledge and skill because i do believe a trade with knowledge doesn't mean have skills but not vice versa. Your knowledge will increase for sure but in order to improve your skills demo or real account is the only answer, in short you need to practice not reading.

Forex forms most certainly help to improve trading skill. Because it is a portal where we can share our experience. We can learn from each other's experience. we can share knowledge as well. New trading strategies and trading idea can be shared among each others. therefore forums are considered good source of improving trading skills

Not your skill buddy, can you think what happened to person who only read these discussion but never applied or having few times to applied it all? They won't improve or at least just improve a bit. If you want to have new vision or knowledge then forex forum is one of the best place if you want to improve your skills then practicing with demo or real account.

@sidejob: Yes, only knowledge not someone's skills reading won't make you a better trader, what you need is read, understand about what you read, and the last is practice to give you experienced and depth understanding of forex.

@uncle gober: I also think the same but it doesn't improve your trading skills because practice is the only way to do that, i never see anyone that just by surfing from internet or read someone's experience can do better than other even without practicing it.

with active in forex forum we can get the bonus posts  given by the broker. Like  instaforex, which gives a bonus  post if the active trader in the forex forum. We can take advantage of this bonus as  capital  trading in real account, without having to spend money from our own pockets.

Through the knowledge then it can improve your skills but if you just learn and doesn't even set this thing into motion(trading) whether in real or demo account you won't improve anything, you will be awkward when the situation happen. You have knowledge to firing a gun doesn't mean you can firing the gun.

Yes, forex forum just a place to improve knowledge or understanding about forex also forex forum is not a place that will make you suddenly able to get a lot of profit. If someone want to earn they can try demo account for practice and after that move to real account for make bigger profit.

See, in the end it is all about knowledge that we get in forum, if you want to apply that knowledge or to seek the truth behind those posts in forex forums then you can get experience which will help you to create better strategy, and also rise you to the next level, but sponsored forums offer more than that since it has bonus too LOL

See, forex forum is the place where you get knowledge, and if you want to seek the truth behind that knowledge in demo account you can get experience so with this experience you might be able ascend to the higher level and become a better trader, as for sponsored forex forum it will give you money for trading.

But without forum you cannot even know what to do with your practice, learning from forum is an option but for someone who doesn't have any money to teach someone can use forex forum as the only way to obtain knowledge that will lead them to gain the most effective practice.

It is just the place to gain knowledge or what gaban said as the place to share your experience so someone can turn it into knowledge and learn from it. Forum isn't a place for practice that is the place for valid, non-valid, sooner will be non-valid knowledges.

Yeah...

Some might get themselves in a traders community (and that's the good thing when you're not much active in forums) in their area. So the point is don't let yourself alone as a trader...

I've been said it many times that forex forum won't improve your skills but in the other way it give you more knowledge, more than you all ever know before. In forum you can find there are a lot of traders that share their own experience so you can learn from that and somehow gain more and more experience, also you can learn from their mistakes if they share their mistakes.
