The most common definition of exotic currencies would be the not so commonly traded foreign currency and is usually from developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Some currency like Indonesian Rupiah, Brazilian Real, or Mexican Peso is one of them. These currency pairs are not considered as major currency pairs in forex market trade and trading them could be quite challenging in a standard brokerage account.

Exotic currency is exotic currency isn't it? I mean it is a currency like IDR, MNX, or Yuan. If for example IDR/MNX then it is n exotic pairs because those two currency is not popular to the others and has relatively low liquidity compared to the other pair such as EURUSD or even minor pair like GBPJPY,

Well same here, i maybe a bit extreme where i only trade with one cross pair(if possible). It is not like exotic currency offers good movement but from all parameters major pairs are doing well and its liqudity is high, also the market mostly affected by traders or players not the government.
