  1. Hi I'm looking for a quiet place to stay with my wife over the long weekend in Sithonia or nearby. I would like to be near the water -- especially a shady beach would be nice -- and near at least a few restaurants and a shop or two. Staying in a small town is fine, but we really want to avoid finding ourselves next to a loud beach bar or busy street. So far people have recommended Nikiti and the area around Vourvourou. The latter seems prettier to me, but it is hard to tell. I wonder if someone can tell me about these areas or recommend another place to go.
  2. Since I've been to Athens numerous times and seen just about everything there is to see I am considering spending a few hours in Piraeus. I've never been there other than the port for a ferry so would appreciate any input as whether it's worth spending a few hours wandering around. What to see, where to go, places to eat, etc.
  3. The late Ann Landers (advice columnist) once said about travel: Take half as many clothes and twice as much money as you think you'll need.
  4. Before I was married, I would often spend my weekends at my computer catching up on all the games in my steam library. Sometimes I would go out with a group of friends or coworkers and get dinner. Or dates. I pretty much balanced my life between School, Work, Social Life, and Video Games. It was pretty sweet. I just always made sure that I was actively dating or going out with friends so that I didn't become a dungeon dweller. Now that I'm married, my life is balanced between Work, Family, and Video Games/Hobbies. It's a good life.
