  1. on a personal note, i think xm is big but i see some people talking about high spreads online, hfm has really good spreads on major pairs and a solid execution on its platform, a more competitive spreads can be found on lmfx very good for scalping, and they do have their own crypto exchange platform which is very good. depends on what u are looking for really.

  2. first i would say regulations, for EU it should be regulated at least by the FCA, some brokers like HFM are regulated by multiple regulatory bodies.
another thing is a good reputation, look for brokers that has been around for a while with a good track record
another thing is the services offered, some brokers offer different tradable assets that sometimes can be unique to them. other brokers offer a separate crypto platform usually the leverage is 1:50.

and pick like 3-5 brokers and do a comparison before picking yours, always check review sites for any unprecedent activities to avoid scams.

Can you suggest which HFM account type is best? Collecting opinions to make informed decision, lol

im only using a standard premium account which works fine for me, depending on your plan and trading style and what u want to achieve really. better try a basic comparison of accounts and check what would work with your trading style the most.

  4. what currency to pair? if all else fails, then stick with major pairs, that the first pairs i traded on hfm, eurusd gbpusd eurgbp, usdjpy is aright too. just study them their charts and news revolving around them dont overwhelm ur self with other pairs especially exotic ones. haha

  5. fundamentals relies more on sentiments, like news and events that happens that might affect the currency you are wanting to trade, that way it gives you signs to generate conclusions to be base your next trade on.. on the other technical relies on studies of charts and support and resistance and price actions. the things you see people drawing and generating their conclusions on a chart trying to figure out the next move.

well its okay to understand both if you ask me take a bit from both before making a trade, and its okay to specialize on on over the other, both methods are actually a learning process that would help us trades make good trades.
