Our Predict EURUSD Contest is now launched every week. You are to guess a price of EURUSD of next Friday. Your guesses are accepted till this Sunday.

The prize from FBS is 50 USD!

The idea of the contest is pretty simple: guess the price of EURUSD on Friday, October 26th (right after the closing of trading).

Your answers are accepted from 15.10.12 to 21.10.12.

- The winner will get 50 USD to his/her trading account from FBS. The funds can be used for trading or withdrawn.

- All the registered members of forumfortrader are allowed to take part.

- Each participant have the right to post his/her guess UNLIMITED NUMBER OF TIMES, but only the last contestant’s guess will be taken into account.

- Your guesses are taken within 4 digits after the decimal point. For example: 1,2833 or 1,4458. The correct answer will determined from BID price (bid price is shown on the chart in the trading platform).

Analysts: EUR/USD long-term prospects

The decline of the single currency, started on Monday, gathers pace. What do analysts think, is this a reversal or just a simple correction?

Wells Fargo: The euro’s corrective upward rally is not over. Sooner or later Spain will ask for aid. Combined with a possible activation of the ECB bond purchase program, this implies scope for a further euro’s strength. 3-, 6- and 12-month forecast for EUR/USD: $1.31, $1.28 and $1.24 respectively.

UBS: In a short term we are bullish on EUR/USD and target $1.3284, these days the pair is in the corrective phase. 1 and 6-month forecast: $1.30 and $1.25 respectively.

Goldman Sachs: Negative global macroeconomic conditions may weaken the single currency. However, in a longer term, we expect gradual progress with deeper integration in the euro area, which should ultimately boost the EUR. 3-, 6- and 12-month forecast: $1.25, $1.33 and $1.40 respectively.
