The price of arabica coffee futures on ICE Futures exchange New York at the close of trading on Tuesday morning (14/02) ended weak. The weakening of arabica coffee prices depressed the strengthening of the US dollar.

The increase in the US dollar makes commodities traded in the currency is becoming relatively more expensive for foreign buyers that follow eroded demand weakened. Arabica coffee futures prices slumped towards 1.4655 dollars, down by 1.08 percent.

Hours later the market will watch the speech Fed chairman Janet Yellen indicated a positive sentiment strengthening US dollar. Analysts estimated that Coffee will weaken limited by the strengthening US dollar. The price of Arabica coffee futures on ICE Futures US in New York has the potential to test support level at 1.4350 dollars.

The price of arabica coffee futures on ICE Futures exchange at the close of New York trading Wednesday morning (14/02) ended weak. The weakening of arabica coffee prices depressed by the strengthening of the US dollar.

The increase of US dollar makes commodities traded in this currency is becoming relatively more expensive for foreign buyers that eroded the market's demand. Arabica coffee futures prices for the most-active contract on May 2017 slumped towards 1.4595 dollars, down by 0.61 percent.

Analysts for now estimated that Coffee futures for the next session will weaken limited by the strengthening US dollar. The price of Arabica coffee futures on ICE Futures US has the potential to test the support level at 1.4300 dollar and 1.4000 dollar.

Arabica coffee prices slumped in late trading Thursday morning (23/02), triggered by favorable weather conditions in the area that encourage the production of Brazilian arabica.

Arabica area in Brazil has seen better rainfall and expected good production, but São Paulo has been very dry and the government move to allow imports of Robusta to cover domestic demand. Some favorable rains are expected to dry areas, but the damage had been done.

Arabica coffee futures prices at the close of trading early this morning weakened. Arabica coffee futures prices in May 2017 fell by 0.95 dollars or equivalent to 0.63 percent and closed at 1.5090 dollars per pound.

In yesterday's trade, USDBRL rose by around 0.24% at 3.3331. Weak currencies in producer countries are likely to keep coffee prices low in the near term. The price of arabica coffee futures closed down at 1.2205 dollars, down by 2.55 cents .

 

Analysts expect that the movement of arabica coffee futures prices on ICE Futures New York in next trading potentially strengthen limited if the weakening of US Dollar continues. The price of arabica coffee futures on the ICE Futures New York commodities exchange at the close of trading on Friday (22/06) ended plummeting. The weaker Arabica coffee price was the weakest in 15 months, hampered by a decline in Brazilian real currency and favorable weather that supported the harvest.

 

In overnight trading, the USDBRL currency pair rose 0.23 percent at 3.3409. Weak currencies in producer countries are likely to keep coffee prices low in the near term.

Rabobank projected the price of arabica coffee at 135 cents per pound in the final quarter of this year, above 127.90 cents per pound where December futures contract prices on Monday.

 

Rabobank's projection considers reports of a Brazilian harvest showing that good results seen last year are unlikely to happen again, with below-average yields due to quality factors as well.
