The right timing pays off for long term trading

If you time your trade and enter the market at the lowest possible price and then wait for it to mature then you have made some pretty good profit. I think timing things pays off. Right before the market open you can buy low and then it will surely rise once market demand is in session. So, I made like about 60 pips today with that strategy and it continue to work for me but its several hours of trading and not several minutes. How about you?

Generally, timing pays of in the market. The success of Forex or the profit any trader would make is dependent upon how good he times the market, knowing the best time to enter and when to exit.

For long term traders, some can leave their position for days and sell off when it goes high.

determine good entry level could be difficult but when traders able to open positions at such level, they are have chance to get maximum profit result. long term traders make profit by riding the trend. good entry level is at initial trend. when traders doesn't late to mark the changes in market, have chance to get high profit.

To determine good entry point, the trader in here will be able to do a very good analyzation of the market. This thing will help him or her to know the best entry point. That is the reason why timing is a very important thing in the forex trading market.

I think you are right @euro that if we enter the trade at good and right timing we can easily make good profits from our trading/trade, to be true I really am beginning to like the strategy you put in here because you made a gain of 60 pips by it so I think I am gonna try my best to enter the market as you have stated, so that I can make good profits.

good timing to entry for long term traders is when the trend start changing. market create new flow and traders goal is riding it. however, traders can't be late to entry in market if their goal is riding the trend. as long as trend momentum not gone or exhausted, traders have chance to get profit whenever they are entry in the market.

Well the right timing sure does pays off for long term trading but I think newbies should not go for long term trading and for me as well it is hard to get into the forex market at the right time, so I go for short term trading like trades of 15m and similar, they suit me better though.

Long term trading is best with accurate market timing. It is generally believed that when a trader is trading long term, timing matters more to him than any other thing. It is always better to buy and sell at the right time. Wrong timing on its own only ends up making the trader lose.

Well we don't know where is the right time to buy or sell, it is hard to predict maybe the price is rising for this 2 days but who know in future the price could rebound and make sharp movement?. The question that i want to ask here how to know that it is the right itme to buy and the right time to sell, as far as i know everyone has their own indicator for this issues which make some differences.

Even it is very hard for trader to know but the basic rules is buy low sell high, so it is all about their experience and how good they are when implementing this rules. I know with technical analysis we could analyze the market and can see the rebound of the market when the price for example is falling too deep.

Since long term foreign exchange trading based on momentum then the right timing surely pays off. This is the hardest part of long term trading such as swing. Timing in fact overall is the aspect that you can count, if you often made a good timing to open and close the position even as scalpers you already optimized your profit.

But as the thread starter said, it pays off. Overall long term trader earning would be hundred or even thousand pips. It is not like scalpers or other day trader which has smaller pips. As long as you patient enough and have a good strategy to contain the risk and optimized the profit in long term, it will be pays off.

I think not just long term but in short term too, the only difference that the amount of pips you will get with short term trading and long term trading. It looks pays off in long term trading because it is basically based on momentum, the right timing will give you hundred more pips which means bigger profit for you.i

But in long term, you will get bigger pay off rather than in short term, imagine 200 or even more pips per week? damn, that is more than enough if you have big capital and in less than 10 months projection you could reach a break even point of your own investment, Long term is good for someone who want to invest in big amount.

Very true. Traders need to look at the bigger picture and I am not saying stop chasing short term gains but focus on long term gains. Over time it will give traders a good reward if they do. But they should have a plan.
