FXOpen Adds New Pairs with EOS to Crypto Accounts

FXOpen enhances the range of financial instruments by adding new pairs with EOS to Crypto accounts: EOSUSD, EOSEUR, EOSJPY and EOSGBP.

Dfuie2IXkAIN5Ak.jpg

EOS is a new blockchain platform designed to enable vertical and horizontal scaling of decentralized applications. This is achieved by creating an operating system-like construct upon which applications can be built. The software provides accounts, authentication, databases, asynchronous communication, and the scheduling of applications across many of CPU cores or clusters. The technology is a blockchain architecture that may ultimately scale to millions of transactions per second, eliminates user fees, and allows for quick and easy deployment and maintenance of decentralized applications, in the context of a governed blockchain.

According to CoinMarketCap, EOS is the fourth largest altcoin with $9.32B market cap.

With the latest additions, FXOpen now offers the total of 43 currency pairs on Crypto accounts. Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum Classic, Monero, NEO, EOS, IOTA and OMNI can be traded against USD DollarEURO and Bitcoin. 1 lot typically equals 1 unit of XRP, BCH, EMR or other respective base currency. Margin call is 30% and Stop Out – 15%.

A Guide for Trading Divergences

Divergences were born from the desire of having an alternative to chaotic price movements. Since the Personal Computer (PC) invention, traders find it easier to plot charts and calculate complicated oscillators using sophisticated mathematical formulas.

An oscillator appears at the bottom of the main chart and considers many periods before plotting a value. For this reason, oscillators are more trustful than the actual price.

Hence, traders rely more on what an oscillator shows rather than what the price does. Divergences appeared as a consequence of comparing the moves of a currency pair with the ones of an oscillator.

Both bitcoin and litecoin are trading only a few percentage points above the 2018 lows. Bitcoin is quoted at $6,075 dollars right now, down by $625 dollars or 9.3 percent. Litecoin is trading at $77.31 dollars, down by $20 and almost 21% in percentage terms.

Bitcoin Floats Above 2018 Lows

Bitcoin hit a new yearly low of $5,766 on Sunday but we got a fairly quick rebound from here. In the next few days the dead-cat bounce took us to $6,326 dollars but as you can see on the chart below a lot of those gains have since faded.

BTCUSDDaily-june27-Copy-768x361.png

We are still in a downtrend on the daily charts. To end it we need a breakout above $6,840 dollars per coin. A new rally, however, requires a break of the $7,775 resistance as well. Higher up there’s more resistance at $8,590 and 8,880 dollars per coin. The $10,000 round figure is another notable resistance level.

ETHER LITTLE CHANGED, DASH DOWN

Both Ether and Dash are trading little changed versus bitcoin. Ether is up by 0.11% while Dash is lower by 0.84 percent since last Thursday. Not large moves by any means and especially not for the crypto market which tends to be more volatile than traditional markets.

Ether Little Changed

Ether is quoted little changed vs BTC. The altcoin had a short and uneventful trip below the 0.07 BTC figure on June 30th only to bounce back quickly. We are quoted at 0.07115 BTC right now, not far from where we were trading at on June 28th.

ETHBTCDaily-july5-Copy-768x361.png

Ether is still in range on the daily charts, we remain in ‘wait and see’ mode here. The shallow break below the previous lows doesn’t count as a trend changer.

FXOpen will raise margin for GBP pairs on December 10th

Dear Traders,

We would like to remind you that the UK parliament will vote on the EU Withdrawal Bill on 11th December 2018. There is a high degree of uncertainty as to the outcome of the vote and all GBP currency crosses are likely to experience significant volatility with increased risk of market gaps.

Due to this FXOpen is going to increase margin requirements up to 5 times their normal values for all GBP pairs. Changes will take effect starting with the market opening on December 10th, 2018 without further notice.

We are taking this measure to reduce your risk due to the potential high volatility, rapid price movements or market gaps that may occur in case of further political escalation. Please consider this information in your trading and ensure you have sufficient funds on your account to maintain your positions.
